A PRACTICAL SELECTION HELPER

Find a practical starting point.

Compare high-pressure processing, bead beating, cooled milling and ultrasonic processing. For sonicators, choose direct-probe processing or dedicated chromatin/DNA shearing, then compare sample volume and control requirements.

For sonicators only: liquid volume per batch, or per tube for DNA/chromatin shearing. Leave blank for other methods. 50 µL = 0.05 mL; 5 L = 5,000 mL.

Leave unknown for other disruption methods.
