SM 200 Cutting Mill
Cutting mills are suitable for the grinding of soft, medium-hard, elastic, fibrous, and heterogeneous mixes of products. The new cutting mill SM 200 is a powerful and easy-to-operate instrument for efficient primary and fine size reduction. Cleaning is made particularly easy.
Within the group of the cutting mills, it is the universal standard model which covers a vast range of applications with its strong 2.2 kW drive and 1,500 rpm rotor speed. When operated with the optional cyclone-suction-combination, the SM 200 is also suitable for grinding light sample materials or smaller quantities. In combination with the wide choice of bottom sieves, hoppers and collecting vessels, the mill can be easily adapted to varying application requirements.

SM 300 Cutting Mill
Cutting mills are suitable for the grinding of soft, medium-hard, tough, elastic, fibrous, and heterogeneous mixes of products. The new Cutting Mill SM 300 excels especially in the tough jobs where other cutting mills fail.
The high torque of the new 3 kW drive with RES technology (additional flywheel mass) allows for an exceptionally effective preliminary size reduction of heterogeneous mixtures, such as waste or electronic components. Analytical fineness is often achieved in one working run.
The cutting mill is used successfully for a great variety of materials. The sample is only moderately warmed up during the grinding process so that the mill is perfectly suitable for grinding temperature-sensitive materials. Another innovation is the wide, freely selectable speed range from 100 to 3,000 min-1.
When operated with the optional cyclone-suction-combination, the SM 300 is also suitable for grinding light sample materials or smaller quantities. In combination with the wide choice of bottom sieves, hoppers and collecting vessels, the mill can be easily adapted to varying application requirements.

SM 400 Cutting Mill
Cutting mills are suitable for the grinding of soft, medium-hard, tough, elastic, fibrous, and heterogeneous mixes of products. The Cutting Mill SM 400 is ideally suited for pre-cutting of large sample pieces but, depending on the application, may also achieve the required fineness in one step.
The high torque of the new 3 kW drive allows for an exceptionally effective preliminary size reduction of heterogeneous mixtures, such as waste or electronic components.
The cutting mill is used successfully for a great variety of materials. The sample is only moderately warmed up during the grinding process so that the mill is perfectly suitable for grinding temperature-sensitive materials. Due to the large open surface of the 240 mm x 240 mm bottom sieve, it is possible to grind large sample quantities and to increase the throughput.
When operated with the optional cyclone-suction-combination, the SM 400 is also suitable for grinding light sample materials. In combination with the wide choice of bottom sieves, hoppers and collecting vessels, the mill can be easily adapted to varying application requirements.

Drum Mills, Grinding & Milling
TM 300 Drum Mill
The TM 300 Drum Mill is used for the preparation of granules and powders. The grinding process is performed either in dry or wet conditions. The drum mill can be operated either as a Ball or as a Rod Mill by using the corresponding module. A sufficient number of balls or rods is required for an effective grinding process. Typically, a final fineness below 20 microns is obtained.
The drum mill consists of a gear motor mounted on a solid steel frame complete with outlet funnel and a set of separation screens plus sample collector. The TM 300 features a yoke and locking mechanism for easy access to the sample. The drum cover is easily removed for cleaning thanks to a quick release locking mechanism.
Adjustment of grinding parameters:
Parameters like grinding time or start and stop are set conveniently via the display. The following factors have an influence on the final particle size: Sample characteristics, maximum feed size and capacity. We will gladly support you in working out the most suitable configuration for your specific application.SKU: n/a -

TWISTER Cyclone Mill
The cyclone mill TWISTER is specially designed for the processing of foods and feeds for subsequent NIR analysis. The optimized form of rotor and grinding chamber generates an air jet which carries the ground sample through the integrated cyclone into the sample bottle. The air jet prevents the material from heating up, thus preserving the moisture content.
The provided sieves guarantee an optimum particle size distribution so that it is not necessary to recalibrate the NIR spectrometer. The rotor speed can be adjusted in 3 steps allowing for perfect adaptation to the sample requirements. Cleaning the mill is quick and easy as the air jet effects a complete discharge of the material from the grinding chamber.
This new cyclone mill in proven quality optimizes the reproducible sample preparation to NIR analysis thus allowing for meaningful and reliable analysis results.

Grinding & Milling, XRD-Mill McCrone
XRD-Mill McCrone
The XRD-Mill McCrone was specially developed for the preparation of samples for subsequent X-ray diffraction (XRD). The mill is used for applications in geology, chemistry, mineralogy and materials science, quality control as well as R&D.
Because of its unique grinding motion, the XRD-Mill McCrone is particularly effective for this analytical method: The 48 cylindrical grinding elements grind the samples gently via friction. The result is a short grinding time with almost no sample loss and an exceptionally narrow particle size distribution.
The crystal lattice is almost entirely preserved during grinding operation, a premise for meaningful X-ray diffraction. The grinding vessel consists of a 125 ml capacity polypropylene jar fitted with a screw capped gasketless polyethylene closure. The jar is filled with an ordered array of 48 identical cylindrical grinding elements, available in agate, zirconium oxide or corundum. The grinding time for optimum micronization is between 3 and 30 minutes. A typical sample volume is between 2 and 4 ml.

ZM 200 Ultra Centrifugal Mill
The Ultra Centrifugal Mill ZM 200 is a high speed rotor mill with unmatched performance. It is used for the rapid size reduction of soft to medium-hard and fibrous materials.
Because of the efficient size reduction technique the ZM 200 ensures the gentle preparation of analytical samples in a very short time. The comprehensive range of accessories including a large variety of ring sieves and rotors as well as collection systems makes the Ultra Centrifugal Mill a versatile instrument that can be easily adapted to varying applications. The optional Vibratory Feeder is load-controlled via an interface and ensures a uniform grind at maximum output rate. When using a cyclone, the sample material is additionally cooled by the air stream and more rapidly discharged from the grinding chamber via the cassette pan with outlet. This effect can be increased by connecting a vacuum cleaner.
With thousands of installations, the ZM 200 has become a standard for food and feeds, for the chemical industry as well as for agricultural testing.
